Two generations of UMD family docs. Will it be three? (No pressure, Julia....go ahead and be a taxidermist or a teacher or a plumber....your mommy doesn't mind.)
The kiddies (Julia and Allie) getting mad at the moms. We tried to get them to wear our hats. No such luck. :)

Graduation Fun! Part 1
Megan, Allie, Julia, and I
Crossing the bridge. A ritual that my parents remember participating in 29 years ago!
Dr. Beth and Dr. Sarah. Both graduated from UMD School of Medicine, and we shared many of the same professors!
Boulger.
Ross, Duane, and I. I feel vertically challenged between these two...
Paula and I. Thanks for delivering Julia!
Quang and The Ladies
Amy Moeller and I
The inhabitants of 701 Woodland: house of many parties and lots of Caps. From the left: Andy Mulder, John Amdahl, Luke Nystrom, Duane Undelannd, Ben Novak, Mike Gerber. Thanks for the fun times and for always getting enough beer to go around. I think Gerbz should have been offered extra credit for all that beer-labor. I do believe he was the mastermind behind all the parties.

Dear Skaudis and I
Me, Skaudis, Aanders. I remember the first time Dr. Ward met Aanders. The conversation went something like this: Ward: "You there. What is your name?" Aanders: "Aanders Dommer." Ward: "What??" Aanders: "Aanders Dommer." Ward: "Aanders Dommer? What the hell kind of a name is that?" Aanders: *shrug* Ward: "Poor Bastard! If that was the name my mother had given me, I would have long since committed suicide."
Kristen Loewe and I
Skaudis, Luke-ass, and Gerbz
Boulger. He hates having his picture taken.
Night before graduation party: Skaudis and Luk-ass are brawling like brothers. Just like old times! I used to sit by them in class and they would do boy-ish things like this all day long. Inbetween the brawling, Skaudis would feed us banana bread and other mysterious groceries. I will miss you both!!!
Jared Reese and his wife, Angela (she's in pharmacy school with Mike.)

I must apologize: there are a LOT of photos here....and if you have a slow internet connection, it will take years to load. I couldn't decide which ones to post, so here are all of them! They are divided between two blogging sessions. I tried to be accurate with the captioning. Enjoy!

Graduation!
Hi All-
This Friday is the day! Medical School graduation. It's hard to believe that I will actually be graduating. (I don't mean that they were considering flunking me or anything....that came out wrong.) What I mean is that it seems like I've been in school for my entire life (no kidding...I have), and it's been my goal to be a physician as long as I can remember. I just kept going and going to school, knowing that it would end someday, but I never considered that day would really come! Being in school forever was an OK thing: if a patient was mad, it wasn't my fault, I was just that med student. If a patient came back sicker than before, I could get my attending doc and run to the break room for more coffee while she fixed the patient. Now that I am done with the "school" part of things, I have to be honest and say I'm a little intimidated. With the privileges come responsibility...but I can honestly say that I'm pretty excited to get the MD added to my name. No more Med Student Sarah...it will now be Dr. Sarah. True, I still have three years of residency before I get to have my own practice, but at least I can see a patient on my own and write a prescription without asking somebody with an MD to sign it....
Needless to say, there won't be any pictures of Julia posted until the weekend because our clan will be down in "da cities" celebrating and attending graduation. We will take lots of pictures and slap them up to the blog as soon as we get home. :)
Sarah, Michael, and Julia
PS: Just to clarify: in our last blog, several people have asked me about how Julia got into the fish tank, why she didn't drown, and how I turned out to be such a terriffically negligent parent. Well, FYI.....Julia did not actually go into the fish tank/pond thing....she likes to stand up NEXT to it and SPLASH. When I said she was in the tank, I didn't mean that she was into diving. WE'll leave that for the 2nd birthday.....

Grandma's Fish Tank
On Sunday during the party, Julia managed to wander away from everybody (who's watching the baby?) for a whopping 15 minutes. Suddenly, I heard her start to yell Not cry, mind you, but yell. I began to look for her, and nobody seemed to know where she was. I was only frantic for a minute...then I raced into the living room and found her upset. She had managed to knock over the stool that she uses to stand on to look into the fish tank. She wanted it replaced. She had been playing by herself in grandma's fish tank for 15 minutes and nobody noticed! She was soaked, head to toe, and grinning from ear to ear. I think God has his angels working overtime with that little kid. Other than reeking of fish breath, she was just fine.

Weekend in St. Cloud
Trying to get them both to look at the camera was very difficult. :)
Playing with mommy's rocker. This rocking char was given to me when I was a baby.We went to St. Cloud for the weekend to celebrate Julia's first birthday with family. I couldn't find my camera during the birthday party (it was hiding behind the giant cake), so I will have to get the pictures from grandpa Dick to show you.
Todays pics are from Saturday when we were doing a combination of yard work, planting, playing, and cooking. We had a great day!
