bathtime!
Time for a bath! Today marked the first time we had three kids in our bathtub at once. As we were washing them up, I remembered one of my duties as a parent that I had been neglecting: take nudie pics of them in the tub while they will still let me. ;) So here are a few.
Luke got lots of "help" washing up his hair. He was a bit flustered by the ordeal.
Mary likes the bath foam. Isn't she photogenic?
Luke stared at the obnoxious one.
I swear, I didn't give him a perm! Luke's beautiful hair makes tight blonde curls when it is wet. What a handsome boy!!!

My bad.
Being a single parent (something that no one should have to do, in my opinion) doesn't leave much time for oneself. Which is why I haven't been doing my job updating this thing this week. If you're awake, you're either a) amusing/changing/feeding/chasing the child, or b) madly trying to do things around the house while she sleeps. If you're asleep, you're asleep. Sometimes not even then.
I just reread that last paragraph and it's a tad incoherent. Sorry; blame it on the numerous cold meds that I'm currently doped up on. Julia gave me the cold, too. Tricky little devil, that one.
On that note, please enjoy this week's batch of pictures accompanied by my attempts at witty captions.

Julia wearing what is known as her "bling" dress. It was supposed to be for Easter, but we put it on her last Sunday when we realized that, oops, it's too short for her already.

Bathtime on Tuesday. Her little curl of hair on top reminded me of Trixie Flagston, which is why I took this picture. (Older readers, or those who are fans of "Hi and Lois" will know what I'm talking about.)

Our very own Lil' Rebel. Great-grandma Dorothy made the pretty wall-hanging in the background.
The very same Lil' Rebel saying "fcshhh" (fish) while pointing to the Goose.

Taking a bath with grandma! Nov, 2006We recently bought a new digital camera from Ebay, but it's not here yet. This is an older picture, but it was cute, so it got blogged. :) Grandma Beth came to visit us in November and she is known throughout the world for her babay bath-giving abilities. When we leave Julia in her care, she always comes back squeaky clean!
Well, after a nice weekend off, it's back to the grindstone. I am on call right now. I got home around 10pm and took care of Julia til 11 so that Daddy could get his assignment in before midnight. I went to bed in my scrubs thinking I would get called in for a late-night surgery. I heard my pager go off a few minutes ago. Crap! I loathe the idea of leaving my nice warm bed for a freezing cold car and a freezing cold operating room. I called the number and nobody answered! Yay! I can sleep some more when I am finished with this blog.....so I guess that's all for today, folks! See you tomorrow. Hopefully our new camera will be here and we can upload some more pictures for you.
